Say A Little Prayer For Me
Today’s Thought:
“More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.” – Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Today’s Quotes:
“Prayer: It has been the preparation for every new triumph and the secret for all success.” – A. T. Pierson
Today’s Question
Would this message be true of your church? “Our church is prayer-conditioned.” – From a Message on A Church Sign
Today’s Bible Verses: Ephesians 3:14-21
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Today’s Spiritual Thought:
“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” – The Bible (Matthew 6:5-6)
“Prayers can not be answered unless they are prayed.” – Anonymous
It seems that the topic of prayer is one that I return to often. I suppose this is because prayer is so vital to our daily lives as Christians. In some respects what the Bible is as our nourishment to sustain us and help us grow: prayer is like the oxygen that keeps us alive. Without prayer we would be dead in the water, so to speak.
We pray for many things but other than praying for God’s will to be done and His kingdom to come; I wonder if maybe the thoughts held in today’s scriptures above, might not be the best things we could pray for one another.
The good thing about prayer is it doesn’t have to be fancy or oratorical in only needs to be sincere and heart felt.
But regardless of the posture, the approach or the method you may use to pray: please pray it is essential to not only your will being, but mine as well.
“He stands best who kneels most; he stand strongest who kneels weakest; he stands longest who kneels lowest. Bent knees mean strong backs.” – Anonymous
Each day, say a little prayer for me and I will be saying one for you.
Today’s Prayer:
Father, for every person I encounter, whether physically, electronically or by some other means or measure, I pray they will be able to know you better today and feel your power and presence in greater ways and that their relationship with you will grow stronger.
