Thought for Monday, March 4th

Boldly Enter In

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews  4:14-16

“Audacity augments courage.”
-       Publilius Syrus

There is no place for timidity on the highway of life if we are going to truly walk by faith and not by sight.  We must be both bold and courageous and willing to live audaciously for God if we truly want to please Him in all that we do.

From our prayers life to our daily walk we must not be wimpy: but rather we need to roar like a lion and remember we are not acting in our own power or might but in the greatest most powerful presence known to humanity: the power of the Holy Spirit of God living in us.

So, into His presence and into the world may we boldly go with His banner lifted high; His name on our lips and His love in our hearts.

O come into the King’s chambers,
And worship before His throne.
O come into the King’s chambers,
And His glory shall be shown.
O come into His holy presence,
And magnify His name.
O come into the King’s chambers,
You will never be the same.
-       Daniel Gardner (lyrics from ‘Come Into the King’s Chambers’)

Just how audaciously courageous are you willing to be for God today?
Today’s Prayer

Father, may timidity and fear be far removed from me as I pray and seek to serve you each and every day.
