Facing Problems

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup Runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalms 23:1-6

Quote of the Day

“In this book [The Bible] will be found the solution
of all the problems in the world.”
-          Calvin Coolidge

Today’s Thoughts and Insights

“I’ve had many tears and sorrows: I’ve had questions for tomorrow: there have been times I didn’t know right from wrong.  But in every situation, God gave blessed consolation; that my trials only come to make me strong.” – Andrae Crouch (lyrics from ‘Through It All’)

No one’s life is problem free, but if we are Christians, we know that no problem is so big that our God cannot solve them.  He has the answer for every question in life – all we have to do is stop, look and listen to find out what that answer is.

The Bible reminds us that when God is for us, there is no one who can succeed at being against us.  That then, gives us the responsibility of aligning our plans with God’s will so that even when the troubles come: and they will; He already has it covered.

And one of the greatest things about our loving Heavenly Father is that even when we don’t necessarily do things His way, His grace is great and He’s still got our back, figuratively speaking, and His arms are always open and He is ready to forgive and restore us every time we come running back to Him.

So if you feel you have problems to great to handle, remember His invitation to cast all your cares on Him – because He really does care for you.

Today’s Prayer

My Father, which is in Heaven, you are majestic, awesome, glorious and deserve the highest praise, and my deepest devotion and adoration.  When my problems seem to overwhelm me:  help me to remember from whom my help comes from.  My help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and earth, for whom nothing is impossible.

“God has no problems, only plans.”
