Total Totality
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2 Timothy 1:8-12
Quote of the Day

Today’s Thoughts and Insights
“All to Jesus I surrender;
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.”
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.”
- Judson W. Van DeVenter (lyrics from ‘I Surrender Ally’)
Total according to Webster’s Dictionary: “constitutes the whole; complete in all its parts; entire;” essence, value, and elements of a thing, or for our purposes of a person.
When totally yielding ourselves to God’s will we need to be total in our submission not reserving a portion or withholding a part.
He gave Jesus, His only Son; who in turn; gave His all to die that we might have life as apposed to the death we deserved.
Does He not then deserve all of us? Is there any justification to hold back or withhold any part or portion of our lives from Him?
Shouldn’t he have our prayer time, our study time, our work time, our leisure time and any other time that might come in between?
Doesn’t He deserve our strength, our ambitions our dreams, our hopes, our desires; as well as our weaknesses, our trials and our troubles?
Did He not commit to accepting us just as we are in totality; for better and worse; for good and bad; for strengths and weaknesses?
Should it not be incumbent upon us to give Him nothing less than everything that we are and all that we ever will be?
If you give yourself to God you can rest assured that He knows how to and will take care of what is entrusted to Him and what is His.
Today’s Prayer
Father, all-powerful, wonderful and glorious are you. May I give you all and let there be nothing left that is not in your hands and under you control.
“When it comes to giving, some people stop at nothing.”
