My Musicality
The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord: This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 118:14-24

Today’s Thoughts and Insights
What is it that makes you want to sing?
If you are in Christ then it should be your love for the Lord that sets your feet to dancing, your lips to moving and your voice to declaring the excellent praises of our amazingly awesome and totally glorious Savior and King.
If you’ve got Jesus in your heart then you should have the music in you that will give rhythm to your steps and a beat to your existence and a melody to your life. If you really know Him – you can’t help but love Him. And if you really love Him you should want to sing forth His praises.
If He is not your source of musicality then maybe there is something missing in your spiritual life.
Remember you don’t have to sing in perfect pitch and you don’t even need to carry a tune – as long as your songs of praise make a joyful noise unto the Lord: and they declare His praise; extol His greatness; and declare how marvelous He is then you’ve got the music in you and you need to let it out. He is like a song and His presence needs to be sung to the nations. Whether you sing a song or perform a task; as long is it is for Him and about Him – you are allowing your life to sing songs of praise to Him.
I know I’d like to teach the world to sing, not in perfect harmony, but rather in joy, in exaltation and in loving words and deeds that declare How Great God is.
Today’s Prayer
Father, how great thou art, how wonderful, how marvelous, how glorious and amazing: there is none like you. Help me to be perpetually making music in words with my voice and by deeds in my life that sing forth your praises.
