Where There Is Hope
O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
Psalms 31:23-24
Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Psalms 130:1-5

Today’s Thoughts and Insights
Where there is hope – there is possibility – there is expectancy – there is faith.
And where there is faith there is an open door to allow God to come in and do what only He is capable of doing.
So often though, we put our hope in the things of this world, like bank accounts, career advancements and other such temporal things.
As Christians we need to put our hopes in heavenly places. We need our hope to be in the Lord and in the power of His might: in the provision of His protection: and in the knowledge of His mercy, grace, love and desires for His children.
Hopelessness will only lead to despair and discontent: but as Children of the King we do not have to face the darkness of a hopeless world: for our hope is in the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth and it is by His hand, through His Spirit and in His working in our lives that our future is established and it is in Him that our hope is rooted and our tomorrows are all secure.
He is the only true hope for humanity and it is only by our hope through faith in Him that we will experience peace, joy and happiness.
Today’s Prayer
Father you are the joy and lifter of my head: my strong tower; my ever present help in times of need and trouble and it is in you and you alone that I have my hope for each tomorrow and for the eternity that lies beyond. Help me to hold fast by faith and hope and trust totally in no one else but you.
