Be Passionate

What are you the most passionate about?

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

“Man is only truly great when he acts from the passions.”
-       Benjamin Disraeli

Generally speaking, we as humans, tend to invest ourselves quite heavily, mentally, physically and emotionally to that thing we are the most passionate about.  We will commit our time, our resources and our very life to the defense, advancement and validity of its cause.

Scriptures tells us that there is not greater love that we can have:  and isn’t a passion a deep rooted love; than that we lay down our life for a friend.

Considering what God has done for us and what Jesus did for us, don’t they deserve to be the focus of our deepest passion?

But are we willing to lay down our life for Him?

Are we willing to suffer inconvenience, humiliation and maybe even some pain for the cause of Christ?

How passionate are we really about our relationship with our Heavenly Father?

Maybe an assessment of what we devote our time to; how we utilize our resources and the extent to which we go to serve Him; might help give us an answer.

Today’s Prayer

Father, may my passion for you be true, real and genuine and may I act on it without reservation.
