Praise

Is there ever a time or a reason not to praise God?

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalms 150:6

“Praise is the best diet for us, after all.”
-       Sydney Smith

Praise is an act of acknowledgement.  It is the stopping of what we are doing to bestow upon its recipient; our adulations, expressions of gratitude and appreciation and our sentiments of love, respect and recognition for the contribution this person has made to the world and our lives.
At least this is what our praise for God should be.
And is there ever a time or season or reason He does not deserve to be praised?
The Bible tells us if we would refuse to praise Him the rocks would cry out to declare His glory and greatness.  But do we really want to let some old common rock take our place when it comes to giving praise to the greatest and most worthy of recipients?
As a lifestyle of worship that we live – we need to make sure that it is heavily seasoned with and fully surrounded by expressions of praise.
Are you ready to praise Him – now seems like such an appropriate time.

Today’s Prayer

Father, in everything, at all times may I never cease to praise you in body and in spirit.
