Understandable
Do you ever wonder why sometimes the things that seem the most difficult are often the easiest to understand, once we get it?
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Psalms 119:130
“A moments insight is sometimes worth a life’s experience.”
- Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
Have you ever experienced one of those, ‘Well Duh’ moments?
That is one of those points in time when something you have been trying to figure out for the longest of times becomes so obvious, that you really don’t understand how you could have not seen it before.
In life these moments can be exasperating: but from a spiritual point of view they can be illuminating.
Spiritually speaking, when we have that epiphany or that moment of revelation when that which we have failed to grasp become evident and real, can be both rewarding and surreal. It is in those moments when we grasp another piece of the picture of who God is: what His plan is and what He wants for our lives.
I sometimes wonder if God isn’t easier to understand than we make Him out to be: but then I face my next unexplainable challenge and once again I find myself seeking for and desiring another one of those ‘Well Duh’ moments
To really understand God, requires only simple faith. I wish we could learn to stop0 making it more complicated than it needs to be.
Today’s Prayer
Father, help me to have understanding by faith that all I really need to do is trust, believe and obey.
