Revive Us Again
Today’s Thought:
“Revive us again; fill each heart with thy love; may each soul be rekindled with fire from above….”
Today’s Question
If something isn’t dead, why does it need to be revived?
Today’s Spiritual Thought:
God is not dead, and though Jesus died and was buried, He arose on the third day and now He lives seated at the right hand of God, interceding for you and me.
Sadly, in the hearts of too many Christians today, the fire of God’s presence hasn’t died out but it seems to be flickering in the ashes and dying embers of complacency, contentment and spiritual lethargy.
Hence we need revival in the land.
However, revival is not a massive move that sweeps into a city or town, it is rather the rekindling of the fire of God’s power and presence in the hearts of single individuals which then spreads like most church gossip, like wild-fire from one person to another.
Revival isn’t going to happen on a Sunday morning or at a Friday night rally, it is only going to happen when God’s people, who are called by His name, humble themselves; seek His face and allow Him to rekindle the fire that was ignited when we initially received His gift of salvation.
In order for their to be revival, we who are alive and remain, charged with doing the work and ministry of the gospel, must be resuscitated, rejuvenated and rekindled by the fire from above.
God is not dead but sometimes we His people tend to act like He is.
To live for Heaven in 2011 we need revival, but true revival is only gonna happened one person at a time when we get it together and make things right with Him.
Are you ready to rock your world?
Do you wanna start some fires in others, then first let God rekindle the sparks, of the fire, that is left in you.
Today’s Verses:
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Psalms 51:10-13
Today’s Prayer:
Father, turn me on, crank me up, and let the flames of your anointing and fire of your spirit rage out of control in me.
