Living for Heaven in 2011

Today’s Thought:

“As I journey through this land singing as I go, pointing souls to Calvary, to the crimson flow.  Many arrows piece my soul, turn my thoughts aside, but my Lord is leading on and in Him I will abide.”

What is it all about?

Today’s Spiritual Thought:

Of us each it might be said:

                        “I ain’t as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was.”

As each day passes we age and our body changes but hopefully our spirit grows bolder, stronger and more able to do what needs to be done.

“This world is not our home, we are just passing through:” our eyes should be on the prize of reaching our greatest potential to answer the high calling of our God, through Christ Jesus.

We do not stand by our power or might, but by His Spirit and we do not battle alone but He is with us the Glory and lifter of our hands, our heads, our heart and our spirits.

In Him there is nothing we can’t do but in all we do it needs to be about Him and for Him.

As we make our ay through each day of 2011, may we be living for Heaven.

Living in gratitude for we know that is our eventual and eternal home.

Living to  turn hearts towards Heaven so that all may hear and have opportunity to receive the same gift of salvation which we have received.

Living to touch hearts, transform lives and strengthen hearts of our fellow believers, enabling them to grow in their relationship with God.

And living to light up Heaven each day by doing the things that will cause God to smile and so that the radiance of His joy for us can add to the radiance that already exists in our eventual eternal home.

Live today like there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.

May your 2011 find you living for Heaven, in every way, every day so that you can Hear the Father say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

Father, in 2011 as I’m on my way to Heaven may I not be remiss in living each day your way to make a difference in this world for you.
