Living for Heaven in 2011- Means Perpetually Making the Right Choices
Today’s Thought:
“I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back; no turning back.”
Today’s Question
Does God change His mind?
Today’s Spiritual Thought:
Living for Heaven in 2011 means making what can sometimes be tough choices and sticking to them.
God isn’t looking for wishy-washy followers who are here today and gone tomorrow: rather He wants faithful, diligent and obedient servants.
Have you ever taken note of the fact that the word servant ends with the word ant, which indicates a thing that must work together with his/her colony of like-minded things to survive and flourish? So, to we as Christian servants, work together with those of like faith and who were bought with the same blood that we were, to accomplish the fullness of what God wants to do.
We need to remember it’s not about us or about them, but rather it is suppose to be all about Him.
We need to work together, on one accord, to build each other up in our most Holy Faith’ to unite as one force rather than splintered segments to hold high the banner of His truth and effect the world with His love.
We need to choose to do what we can where we are and help each other out, rather than being concerned with who gets the credit and whether or not we are in control.
If God isn’t in control of the endeavors we attempt, then they are doomed for failure or at least insignificance in the long run anyway.
So we must choose to work for God; with God and with whomever God puts in our path in order to get things done effectively and efficiently.
Are you willing to release some of your pride and your prejudices and humble your self to work with a Baptist or a Methodist or a Pentecostal or any one from any faith or denomination that believes Jesus is the only way and His blood is the only blood that can wash away mans sins?
God didn’t send Jesus to die for a denomination or religion: He sent Him to die for individual souls.
We have to choose what we want to do. Do we want to build His kingdom or build our church?
Ultimately He’s leaving it up to you, you decide, what are you gonna do?
Today’s Verse:
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15
Today’s Prayer:
Father, may I answer the call to go into all the world to preach the gospel, telling people everywhere that Jesus Saves.
