Just and Sure
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

It is not enough to know that something is good and right if we do not take that knowledge and make it a part of who we are and what we do.
I can know that giving a naked man clothes or a hungry man food is equal to giving the same to the Lord: but if I never do either of these things that knowledge is not an active reality in my expressions of love and gratitude to God for who He is and what He has done for me.
I can know that I must forgive if I want to be forgiven: but if I fail to act upon this wisdom I posses: it serves no purpose and affords no benefit to either myself or others.
I can have the realization that I am loved by God immeasurably: but if I do not abide in that love and share that love as I am instructed by His word with all those in my world: then as the verse in Corinthians aptly puts it: I am not much more than a lot of noise.
If I say I love God but I do not obey God then I have not embraced the truth of what I have professed and I have not demonstrated even a modicum of the faith that I profess to posses which makes it possible for me to believe all the things that God has promised.
God’s justice is pure, His words are true: His expectations are realistic and if I fail to desire to know all that is Him and I don’t make the necessary efforts to act upon that which I come to know then I have missed out on more than words could say.
Prayer:
Father, everything about You is just and sure: help me to not just embrace it: but to live it.
