Courage

Have to Have It

 There are many things we can do without as Christians, but courage is not one of them.  It takes courage to believe by faith that God is everything that He is.

It takes courage to walk by faith and not by sight.

It takes courage to testify to God’s love and be a strong witness for His kingdom.

It takes courage to surrender your will and your hopes and dreams to Him so that He can do what He wants, rather than what you may want.

In a world where Christians are mocked, belittled and demeaned, it takes courage to take a stand and to be strong and courageous.

But what is that to be asked of us when Jesus had the courage to go to the cross and take upon himself the sins of all humanity?

Courage is needful for without it – it would be impossible to accept and live for God.

  Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalms 27:14

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

Psalms 31:24

They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.

Isaiah 41:6

So how courageous are you?

Today’s Prayer

Father, you’re the strength on which I depend; the hope that I look too and the power for my life: may I be filled with courage and faith so that I can be more and do more for you without fear or care of what others may think or say.
