Blessed Assurance

If we new something was a sure thing and that it would not miss and could not fail, how quickly do you think we would get on board with it or how desperately do you think we would want to become a part of it?

Yet, we know that God is all victorious, all powerful, all knowing and an absolute sure thing for all eternity, yet so many still reject Him or only embrace Him half-heartedly.

His words are yes and amen and He never fails yet often we do not invest ourselves fully in who He is and in what He wants for our lives.

There is no way possible that if we are fully vested, surrendered and yielded to God that we can not be successful, whole and complete: yet somehow, some of us think we can do better without His involvement in our lives.

We need to wake up and get smart; give in and let go and let God do what only He can do and that is to ensure that our lives are a sure thing for His glory.

   For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:8

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:5-7

It is a genuinely pure blessing to be sure of what is ahead for us and to know that in God we are more than conquerors and that we are over comers and that we will be victorious in and because of Him.

Now that is what I call blessed assurance.

Today’s Prayer

Father, you are the apex of success, surety and unconditional certainty: in you is complete and total success for all things in life: yet still sometimes I fail to submit, surrender and yield to your superiority and greatness.  Forgive my pride and arrogance: and help me to rest in and abide with the truth that I do have blessed assurance for Jesus is mine and I am His.
