Love Is What It’s All About
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:16-17
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:35-40
Quote of the Day
“We have not come into the world to be numbered: we have been created for a purpose; for great things; to love and be loved.” – Mother Teresa
Today’s Thoughts and Insights
Every person begins his or her journey through life with a need to be loved. That need never goes away.
God loves all humanity: and God wants all human kind to love each other.
Sadly, in our world today there is far too much hatred, and even more disturbing is the truth that a great deal of that lack of love, can be found within the walls of most of our churches.
How do we expect to go out into the world and love the sinner when we can’t even mange loving our brothers and sisters who we fellowship with from week to week?
Jesus said if we love Him, we will keep His commandments. I doubt if asked there would be one person in any church who would say they did not love God and Jesus: but then if this is true, why do we find it so difficult to love each other?
One of the things we should probably always keep in the for-front of our mind is this: God hates sin – yet He loves the sinner: we don’t have to like everything a person says or does – but we still need to love the individual.
To do less is to disobey God and to diminish our love for Him.
And who is there among us that would want to do that?
Today’s Prayer
Father you are forgiving and caring and love me beyond my ability to comprehend: and I am so fortunate to be counted as one of your own. I know you don’t love me any differently than you love every other soul that you gave Jesus to die for – help me to love others the way I am loved by you – unconditionally.
“Love – What you keep to yourself you loose, what you give away you keep forever.”

“Let the poor man say
I am rich in Him
Let the lost man say
I am found in Him
Let the blind man say
I can see again
Let the dead man say
I am born again
Holy Spirit come
Move in power“
I am rich in Him
Let the lost man say
I am found in Him
Let the blind man say
I can see again
Let the dead man say
I am born again
Holy Spirit come
Move in power“
