The Restrictions of Failure
To Affect Our Lives
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall. The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.  In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding. Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
Hebrews 11:24-26
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39
Quote of the Day
God gave each of us two ends – one to sit on and one to think with.  A person’s success or failure depends on the one he uses most.” – Anonymous
Today’s Thoughts and Insights:
It has been said that, “Failure is the path of least persistence.”  Thomas Edison said, “Many of life’s failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
Sadly this describes many Christians I have met.  They give up so quickly when the things of God do not come easily or quickly enough.  Have you ever taken time to ponder the reason scripture tells us to wait upon the Lord?  Sometimes waiting doesn’t necessarily mean just sitting and doing nothing but it can mean doing what is before us and staying steady and consistent to the task while we are awaiting the fulfillment of the promises and expectations by faith, we have in God through Christ Jesus.
If we are in line with God’s will and doing things God’s way then failure is not a possibility.  However, when we begin to take over God’s plans and they start becoming mans plans then the probability ratio for a lesser success increases.
Jesus never fails and if we are walking in the path of His righteousness and allowing His spirit to lead us by letting Him order our steps, then success is guaranteed.
Spiritually speaking there is no place for failure in the life of a Christian, or maybe I should qualify that by saying a Christian who is walking in the fullness of the divine and perfect will of God.
If we find ourselves experiencing failures in our life: maybe we need to spend a little more time on our knees and in the word seeking, searching and listening to the instructions of our Heavenly Father.  For when all is said and done; He is the only one who can unconditionally guarantee success for you and me.

Today’s Prayer
Father, you’re the quintessential personification of purity and perfection; the infinitesimal essence of surety and consistency: you are victory and success and because your Holy Spirit abides in me; I too can experience these amazing elements in my life: yet often I fail to experience them to the fullest of their potential because I fail to allow you total and absolute control over every aspect of my life.  Forgive me and help me to do better.
What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?
Robert Schuller
This is my cry: This is my song,
You are my guiding light, when the way is unknown;
And when the sunny skies, turn shades of gray,
I’ll stay close by your side: As you lead the way.
Jesus lead on I will follow:
Jesus lead on, let your love light the way…
-  Lyrics from ‘Jesus Lead On’ by Brent Helming
