What Does Your Face Say About Your Faith
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Quote of the Day
“Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.” – Janet Lane
Today’s Thoughts and Insights:
Have you ever stopped to consider what the countenance on your face might be saying to those who might observe you?
Of course countenance can be more then the sum of an individuals facial expressions. Your countenance can also include your posture, your gate when walking, and many other physical attributes that you might not even realize are speaking volumes about how you feel about a whole host of different things.
An entire field of study has been developed on the subject of nonverbal communication, which analyzes and studies the many different facets of ones persona that are indicators of non spoken forms of communication being expressed.
So does your countenance bespeak faith, assuredness, security, peace, hope, joy and contentment? If we fully understand who we are in Christ and what He is capable of doing in our lives – it should.
So many Christians go around looking lost, sad, empty, and abandoned – when the reality is that they have been redeemed, saved, and set free.
Our countenance as Christians should bespeak the power and presence of the Lord in our lives and we should look victorious and empowered rather than defeated and downtrodden.
So what does your countenance say about your relationship with the Lord?
Today’s Prayer
Father, you’re beautiful beyond description, more amazing that words can say and to have you living in me is the greatest blessing I could ever hope to experience. May my countenance always reflect my appreciation, passion and love for you.
“If you’re saved and you know it [notify your face].”
–
Alfred B. Smith (Partial lyrics from ‘If You’re Saved and You Know It’)
“This is my cry: This is my song,
You are my guiding light, when the way is unknown;
And when the sunny skies, turn shades of gray,
I’ll stay close by your side: As you lead the way.
Jesus lead on I will follow:
Jesus lead on, let your love light the way… “
